For those still looking for a Blu-ray player. Here is the deal. Buy the Samsung BD-P1500 1080p Blu-ray Player for $226.86 and get "The Ultimate Matrix Collection [Blu-ray]" for free. A $74.95 value. At Amazon.
To bad you can't just get the BD-P1500 for $152

Thanks Micheal, I just picked up a PS3 to do our Blu Ray chores.

I had a difficult time deciding whether or not I should go PS3 or a Panny BD30 but thought for the minimal price difference between the two the finger print magnet multi tasking PS3 would work just fine, and so far it has ... now it looks as though an updated receiver/processor is my next component.

Although my better half did say "Well if that's what you want...." after showing her the Axiom owner's club discount on the new 800.

Oh boy.

I'd consider it if it had analog outs (can't justify a new receiver for a while). Even so, it is the start of a good shopping season I think for Blu-Ray. Prices are going to come down for many models out there over the next 2 months.

PS3 currently runs $249.99 when put on a new Sony credit card and bought at the SonyStyle.com site, but no free movies there...

Thanks for sharing HomeDad.

Keep the deals coming...

I've got the PS3 for our main room and I'm really happy with it, eventually I'll want to replace the HD A2 in the kids room with a Blu-ray player since I'm starting to build a decent collection of Blu-ray movies. So I'll be keeping a keen eye for new deals. \:\)

Yeah, just let me know if you see a profile 2.0 capable (ethernet jack on it) Blu-Ray player with analog outs (I only need 5.1) for $200 or less that isn't a piece of crap, and I'm all over it.

Hey, maybe we should make one big thread for good bargains. Or maybe two. One for hardware, and the other for content.
