About a month and a half ago I received two replacement woofers for my M3ti's from Axiom due to the magnet coming loose on one of the old woofers. The replacement woofers are slightly different in appearance than the old woofers...no foam on the front of the frame, plus the magnet assembly is different in appearance. The speakers to me seem to sound different after replacing the woofers. It's hard to pinpoint, but they seem to have a slightly muted sound...not as crisp as they used to sound. Has anyone else experienced this after replacing woofers? These speakers have always been a joy to show off to friends, yet they don't seem to sound like they use to. Any thoughts?

Might be they need broken in. I think Axiom's take 30 to 40 hours of play to break in.

I would call Axiom.

I believe elsewhere on the board it has been said that Axioms do not require anything more than a couple of hours of break in time.

Yep...I'd call Axiom. That doesn't sound right.

...and at the risk of taking the break-in issue further than it deserves...

Break-in normally doesn't "brighten" a speaker. If anything, it will mellow it a bit.
