Yes. A single-channel or monoblock amp would only drive one channel...i.e., just the left speaker, or just the right speaker...

I have the XPA-3 and it doesn't shut down. I have it for 3 weeks now without any trouble.

K, then you need one mono-block per speaker. Or, you could run a smaller set of speakers in parallel, with mono output.
