Looking to hear a pair of M80's

You should try PMimg ditcin, he had a set of M80 and they were even for sale not too long ago.

I am in Guilford, CT, about 90 miles north from you. If you are willing to trek up one weekend, I would be glad to have you audition the M80s.

I appreciate John's offer and might take him up on it.

Pat also has the EP350 as well as the QS8. I'm especially interested in hearing the EP350 because I'm sure that the 500 will definitely get me put out of the house. I would like to see that the 350 does the job.

John only mentioned the M80's and is at least twice as far. It would certainly kill most of a day for me.

I don't have the 350, which is supposed to be excellent and will likely "do the job". I have dual EP500s, which may be more than what you need...to get you put out of the house.

Bob. The 350 will do the job. This is the part of the system that gave me the most angst as there are a lot of very good sub manufacturers out there. For music, its fantastic. For movies, It dosn't reach as low as some, but it still gives plenty of rumble (not Boom) for movies.

You can audition the 350 with Pat and the 500 at my place then decide. We can always turn off one of the subs. As you know having two 500s gives only 3 db extra sound pressure subjectively (though requires twice the power, of course). Do you plan to get the whole set up now or get them sequentially? I am sure you will be very pleased with the M80s as well either of the subs.

He already offered an audition on the first page. Why don't you pm him and request a visit.
