Wife and I couldn't get into Wall-E either, although it was a little better the second time around.

I watched a couple of segments from Band of Brothers last night again, that is such a good series. I couldn't help but to think of some of you fellas and the frigid cold weather you're having while watching Easy Co. in their foxholes in Bastogne and the interview with the one vet during the opening, 'I've gone to bed some nights and said man it's cold, but it ain't nothing like Bastogne though' even after 60 years. Wow.

We watched The Fall last night. We had seen the trailer somewhere and decided to rent it while browsing for a movie.

The movie was excellent. Basically, it's about a little girl in a hospital who befriends an injured actor, and as they become friends he proceeds to tell her a story. The movie is both the 'real life' of being in the hospital, and of 'the story' that he tells her.

The visuals of 'the story' are mind-blowing. Absolutely stunning. I don't have enough adjectives to describe it. It won several awards for cinematography, and I can totally see why. There are many parts where you could advance frame-by-frame and each frame would work as a photograph hanging in an art gallery. Seriously, it's that good.

I'm very tempted to buy the BluRay of it just for the demo material. Anyone with a HDTV ought to at least rent it, just to really show off what kind of colors & texture your HDTV is capable of.

Watch the trailer on the movie's website, it provides a good glimpse of what you will see...

The Fall

It's most definitely going on my highly recommended list.

I have it on my Netflix queue, but not at the top. I may have to bump it up.

Just added it. I've come across it before, but never paid much attention to it. Thanks for the recommendation and brief description, Peter.

The Fall is dazzling in Blu-ray, The story is pretty wild and definitely different than most mainstream Hollywood flicks.

The Fall most definitely looks like a movie the little missus and myself can get into watching, thanks for the heads up Peter and Michael!

Sounds like an interesting movie. Nice to see some people trying to think outside the box in the movie industry now and then.
