That looks interesting. I'll have to get it.

I'm reading "the name of the rose". It's a freind of mine's favorite book, so I had to read it.... Pretty good so far.

I'm about 1/2 way through Salman Rushdie's Midnight's Children. This is the first serious litterature I have read in quite a while. I must say I am really enjoying it.

The protagonist leaves California for another state? I think I've read that. The first few chapters are hard to get through, but then it picks up after that.

Our intrepid hero was informed by his superiors just hours before he left to pick up his Uhaul truck that they wanted him to stay in California another week. So, our hero moved and immediately drove back and worked like a dog and has just returned to his new place in Arizona and continues to drag things out of boxes.

Don't forget to make a trail of peanuts leading to certain death for any elephants you may have encountered.

No, not yet. I'm trying to decide how to mount the QS8s. . .either stands or on the wall. Need to buy a drill for the latter. Just bought a couch for my HT room--that's what I turned the second bedroom into. My two channel rig is in the living room. My brother-in-law and me set that up last weekend when we drove here. He's the one that got me into this audio hobby and wanted to listen to my Vandersteens and Loreleis. I'll have to post some pics when I get everything set up.

Simon Rich - Free Range Chickens
This is free on the Stanza reader app on your iPhone or Touch. Also free on Amazon's Kindle. VERY funny, short 'essays'.

Jeff Kinney - Diary of a Wimpy Kid: The Last Straw
If you like humor, you owe yourself a favor to read this Wimpy Kid series. It's for young adult readers but if you've ever been that tortured, nerdy soul growing up and then got your confidence, this is HILARIOUS. We reserved this at the library at my 6 year old daughter and I fought to see who could read it first. She won. \:\( I laughed hard, out loud in the first 15 pages. The Shel Silverstein reference made me laugh for a long time. This is the 3rd of the series. HIGHLY recommended for the whole family.

Also got our first Kindle 2. Still learning it, cool gadget. Not necessarily the most cost efficient device, but it can be very useful for a long vacation with a kid who reads 3 books/day.
