Happy Birthday Sean! How's the new diggs in Arizona?

Happy anniversary of your entering this world.

I had planned an interpretive dance around the event, but Medic8r refused to play the obstetrician.

For the longest time, I read that as pay the obstetrician.

Hey, Sean, how's that "workin' on your birthday" workin' out?!

Happy birthday, Sean! Man, you chose the wrong holiday. Should have chosen one with a guaranteed day off or something.

Thanks for all the wishes guys! Looks like I missed a good day in the Shout Box. Funny stuff!! \:D

It's been a good birthday. As some of you know, I recently moved from Southern California to Arizona for work. Finally feel like I'm settling in here. Only have a couple boxes of junk to unpack, but I'm getting there. This is the first place I've had all to myself and it's been a lot of fun putting it together and buying exactly what I want. Granted, it's only an apartment, but, still, it's MY place. With the economy being what it is, I thought I'd give it another year before I start seriously looking for a house. Give me some time to feel out the new state and maybe gauge how business is going to be.

Speaking of which, work has been absolutely killing me. Too much to do, but I guess that's a good thing. Means I still have a job and I'm not twiddling my thumbs waiting for stuff to do. Feel like a zombie by the time I get home.

My parents drove out here for a mini vacation. Just had dinner with them. It's been nice visiting with them the past couple of days. They gave me a digital picture frame and loaded it up with family pics. Very nice gift. My sister even included a close up picture of a potato bug. Thanks, sis, very funny. "Let's see, this is my Uncle Tom, there's Aunt Francis, here's everyone hanging out at the pool, a potato bug, a cute pic of my niece in her Cinderella costume. . ."

Speaking of my sister, she just had an appendectomy last Thursday night, but she's doing good and recovering. Little bit scary, though.

All in all, things are going good. My birthday kinda crept up on me this year. Been so busy with things I never bothered to think about it. Maybe that means I'm just getting old? \:\(

I guess that means I can start being cranky? (when I'm not taking naps, that is.)

p.s. the Hot Pocket bit was hilarious!

Even though I'm at a new office with new people, I still got a treat of homemade cupcakes. One of the ladies brought them in for me. Very nice of her. Also got treated to lunch, as well.

So, I guess the workin' on my birthday thing wasn't too bad after all!
