The 32" Sony I had was heavy enough, for sure. My sister has it now. I remember being so excited when I got it. I was too impatient to wait for a friend to help me lift it, so I lifted one corner onto a chair and then twisted it onto the wood table I was using as my TV stand. It seriously took all of my effort. Thankfully, I didn't break it.

I have a 32" Sony as well  The Sony weighs more than my 36" Panasonic! That front glass section is very thick on Sony CRT's. I always end up moving these beasts on my own as I am never willing to wait for help, wouldn't be so bad if they gave you hand holds, the new 58" plasma has them, but my arms are to short to reach to both ends
