Dang! the boys and I are watching my newest Bluray purchase, 2001 A Space Odyssey. It blows away the original SD Dvd, a must for fans, you won't believe the picture and sound....

I just watched I Love You, Man. It's a bromance movie that's cringeworthy in parts, but has enough redeeming qualities (humor, truth, entertainment) that I give it 4 of 5 stars.

One guitar, four hands. This takes some coordination. Not to mention the extra hands.

Just watched the Blu-ray of “Baraka.” Beautiful imagery and excellent soundtrack. I really liked about 2/3 of it…the panoramas and time laps stuff, but could have done without the close-ups of people which I found distracting though not as distracting as a narration would have been. I also felt the overall message was banal but could see it being fresh for a lot of people.

I felt that the Dolby 5.1 (don’t have a lossless capable receiver yet) was a bit flat for 5.1 but still liked the soundtrack. Overall I would give it a 4 out of 5 for watching the whole thing but would definitely use it for demo purposes.

I went to see Where the Wild Things Are with my coworker/friend. We were both a bit bored. It's an all right movie, but there wasn't a whole lot to latch onto. We also considered Paranormal Activity, but we would have had to wait another half an hour, and we didn't necessarily want nightmares. I've always been a total wuss with scary movies. Still, I'm sure it would have gotten more of a reaction from us than Where the Wild Things Are.

Here I was thinking that that couldn't be a GP engine--just didn't sound right--when they started revving it. Ah, yes, that's an Formula 1 engine alright!

\:D I was thinking the same thing! I guess they had to get the temp/oil pressure up first. I think these engines IDLE higher than most street engines can rev to.
