 Which receiver to buy to go with my Axiom M2is

Initially I'm looking for an audio only solution in my basement though the source will be an existing DVD player. Ultimately, the receiver and the Axioms may end up on the main floor as part of my Home Theater setup. So, I need a receiver that is a good fit with the Axiom M2i's today and would be good in a Home Theater environment tomorrow. I am looking at a NAD T742 for $449. Any views on this? Any other suggestions. My budget is maxed out for the NAD.

Denon 1804 would be great for you. You can find it online for about $350.
