Wide & Height Speakers: I'm starting to get curious about this kind of setup.

I've got W22s and a W150 center, W100 for dual centers (top and bottoem)should be here Monday.

I can only go about 1 1/2 foot wider for the "wides".

I like Onkyo and Audessy, and Onkyo seems to max at 9.2, would the setup be to go height or wide?

I did some searching and some say it makes a big difference for "envelopment"

I was just curious about the thoughts you that have set it up have.

Thanks

Jeff

If you do a search for “+height +wide” here on the forum there are already some discussions. If you want to narrow it down restrict it to my user name since I’ve been posting most of the comments on them. I’ve got to run and just don’t have the time to post anything in detail right now.

Cheers,
Dean

I sort of like the thought of 8 speakers on my front wall, 2 high, 2 wide, L & R, and then 2 centers.... Damn and then 2 subs

Make that 10, all in Boston Cheery and looking fine

I had always put speakers as secondary, to the display (and then HTPC, AVR, etc) till I got the Axioms, now I know, This is what makes the experience! Which makes me think, Wide and/or Height, might be another huge leap.

When I get the "feelin" it usually happens, might take a while, new AVR and more speakers, but I'll get there.
