There's also an iApp that will boost your percentage of readiness. I find that kind of crappy, basically unless you play online or have an iDevice you only get 50% credit for what you do.

I played one online match and my readiness went to 55%, but the next day it was down to 54%. That's even worse, so apparently your online work also decays over time.

Well, at least if you do ALL the side quests, you can still max out your resources, even if only half of them are being counted.

I read that Bioware says you can still get the best ending even without getting your readiness above 50% and you don’t even need to max out your assets though there is a cutoff which they didn’t mention.

I just finished playing ME3 and have to start by saying the ending(s) are horrible. I don’t want to explain how in too much detail so I’ll try to dance around the subject from the most minor to major issues I have.

First there are huge plot holes, no Grand Canyons would more appropriate. There’s no real meaningful revelation as a payoff for the journey. What revelation there is completely illogical (i.e. self-contradictory). None of the endings are all that satisfying emotionally. None of the endings are really any different from each other, you get the same exact cut scenes with 2 very minor (and I mean very minor so you better be paying attention) differences based on a whole 2 of the thousands of decisions you made during gameplay. The whole ending takes you completely out of gameplay and more or less dumps you in an extended cut scene where you get a couple interrupt options and an option to “choose” the ending.

Prior to this the game itself is excellent. In some ways it’s better than its predecessors and in others not as good. On the big plus side the mechanics of the game are greatly improved helping maintain the suspension of disbelief more so than the previous two. OTOH I just didn’t feel this version told as compelling a personal story for the player or NPCs. One thing I can say is that I see no reason to ever play through the very ending again. I think watching it is just a complete waste of time.

I just cruised through ME3 on insanity as an engineer...wasn't difficult at all.

I just started to replay ME as a Sentinel. I really miss this level of micro-management which is absent in 2 and 3. ME holds up really well to this day.

Was it a new character or an import?

Both the characters I made to import were soldiers the only real difference was one being very paragon and the other not, however with that not making any meaningful difference in the ending I doubt I’ll import my other character and just play again with a new one of a different class and based on what you’re saying an engineer on insanity sounds good.

My insanity run was with an imported character. Combat drone, carnage, turret worked well. On insanity I like to go more heavy on cooldown, radius and shields vs damage with myself and the party when upgrading. I also micro-managed the weight and number of weapons we carried a lot more for cooldown to be more effective. As for weapons I just carried a sniper and smg.

I complemented the engineer with Liara and Garrus.

The majority of the time going through Mast Effect (the first one) and casually playing Angry Birds Space.

I moved back to Skyrim mostly just wandering around and finding places and completing some miscellaneous quests.

I’m really liking the perk that slows time when you aim with your bow. Is makes hitting moving targets much easier and the slow motion effect is pretty cool especially when the arrow hits them. The added bonus is I’ve finally found a use for all the stamina potions I’ve found since I blow through stamina quickly using it.

I'm really enjoying going through the ME series again. I'm on 2 now. Imported my Sentinel and currently doing an insanity run as an adept on 2.
