Ken used today's magic word:

Akimbo.

I think one of my characters was named Akimbo. One of my millions of unused characters who only have different names, not different personalities.

For fredk, here's today's lunch report:

The rep brought us chicken salad wraps from Costco, so that was pretty cool. I like just about anything from the Costco kitchen. It was accompanied by a bag of Cheetos and some lemonade.

The rep pushes Luvox CR, so she's got a tough sell. It's just an old drug in a new package. There's not much reason to prescribe new, branded, expensive Luvox CR instead of the original, generic, cheap Luvox. Or one of the other SSRIs that has less side effects and is just as powerful and cheap.

Wouldn't want her job (her commissions probably suck), but I appreciated the lunch.

Mmmmm. A cut above mangled french! Except maybe the cheetohs.

I often wonder what those reps make.

Hmm. Just looked at my avatar more closely and saw a pair of boobs under the mouth.

This would make a good Rorschach ink blot.

LOL, seems like most of my posts these days contain something amusing and/or gross, and most of your posts are one-liner follow-ups to point out the disturbing aspect.

One of these days I'll slip one past you, or better yet, get you to laugh at it without comment on the dark side. Mwah ha ha.

Tomorrow I'm going (with mrs. medic8r and medic8r jr.) to D.C. to some museums. We'll probably spend most of our time at the Museum of Natural History. Last time, Nolan really loved the animal exhibits. If the weather cooperates, we may head over to the zoo. Even though we got 3.5 inches of rain in about 18 hours as Hanna's remnants passed through, I hear it may be nice tomorrow.

Of note, we hope to meet up with a college friend of mine. Tom and I lived in the same dorm all four years (that's how it's usually done at ND, which has no Greek system), and then years later, we both were in psychiatry residency together. After serving his four years in the Army (they put him through med school), he decided to become a priest, so he is in seminary through 2010. I just found out when I met up with him on Facebook. I hadn't had contact with him since residnecy ended in 2001, and then I find out that he's in D.C. for seminary for the next couple (and last couple) of years!

I'll make sure to ask him what kind of school or program he'll look for once seminary ends. Of all my friends, he did seem like the kind of guy to be a professional student. I mean that in a good way. He's so inquisitive and likes knowledge for knowledge's sake. Thank God (?!) there's still people like that.

It's nice to see they changed the spelling to 'seminary' after all that hoopla a few years back.
