where's kcarlile when you need him?
This solution is fantastic for either in-wall or exposed speaker wire.

Thanks, Peter. I can't wait to give the puppies a listen. I currently "enjoy" an old pair of "hand me down" Bose speakers and a passive (weak excuse for a) sub. Next on the wish list is the EP125.

While I have nothing against the EP175, have you considered subs from either Hsu or SVS?
Also, Axiom apparently has some new subs in the works. They might be worth waiting for.

Just didn't want to annoy anyone. But anytime, man, just PM me. $125/hr. :-)

Bub, depending on the length of your runs, something like this would be fine.

Enjoy the music, not the equipment.

Peter, thanks for the links - certainly more to chew on. I'm trying to convince my dad to give up an older model M&K sub that i don't think has ever been plugged in (aside from that first day)- my mom hated the boom and has since turned it into a table behind the chair. only problem is the thing is HUGE - we'll see.
thanks again everybody - $125 checks on the way.

I would echo the SVS or HSU sub recommendations. You'll find high praise for both companies all over the web (and typically very loyal fans to one OR the other). While it's nice to have axiom offer a sub that fits the set, it seems a lot of folks around here (who are diehard axiom fans regardless) went outside the brand to secure their sub.
The STF-2 from HSU is supposed to be a great clean bang for your buck sub woofer and retails for $399? I believe that would even save you $100.
Now that I've eliminated any chance of getting a package deal around here I'll pipe down
-Nick
P.S. Only jesting, one of the great things about this AXIOM forum is the open dialog about other speakers and equipment. It's why I come back.
