Ahh. I was thinking about shadow puppets. It looks like the person in the cartoon only has 3 fingers.

Edit: I'm having oral surgery today. Whee. I'm elated. Going to get a bone graft. 1 of 2 that I need.

Sounds like tons of fun. Enjoy the meds.

Why do you need bone grafts, out of curiosity?

Periodontal disease eats away at the bone. I've had my teeth cleaned by a periodontist for the past 8 years and it always gets a little worse over time. It's either this or loose some teeth. I'd rather get the bone graft.

Edit: I just got home from the procedure. It went about as I expected. Went through 2 shot sessions before I was numbed up enough. Then cut into the gum with a scalpel. Lots of scrapping and drilling, then the bone from a cadaver that's in a paste form is applied. About 20 stitches and covered with a caste that resembles silly putty that has to stay for the next week. I took today off from work so I can apply an ice pack to it today.

Thanks. On the bright side, this is the 2nd day with my new guitar and most of the pain in my fingers is absent even after practicing on/off for the past 2 hours. Could be the pain meds I'm taking, I guess. I didn't think of that until now.

That could also be the pain meds.

CatB: I' ve been through oral surgeries with stitches. Sorry you have to deal with it, especially after years and years of your P-Dontal visits. Hope it's in your past asap.

My view of narcotics: If the drugs aren't working, you need to take more. If you puke, you need to take less.

Always call the place you live a house. When you're old, everyone else will call it a home.

Hope your felling 100% soon CatB.

You should probably record some of your guitar playing so that you can play it back after the pain meds are done also. Just to see if they sound as good then as they do now... snicker.

I think my cat threatens to run away from home whenever I play it.
