In response to wall mounts for this speaker Ian has indicated a distance of l.5" from the back wall is sufficient for this rear ported speaker. I want to place them on built-in shelves with this minimal rear clearance. I have lots of space around and above them. Could anyone please tell me if they have listened to the M3ti Speakers with this limitation and if so please comment on the sound differences, if any. Thanks for your help.

I had the speakers about 10cm away from the side and back and they sounded great, you can move them away or closer to walls and you will hear a difference, but I think its a personal thing. I put them into an enclosed space(a shelf on a wall unit) and they didn't sound nearly as good...

Further to my October post are there any other M3ti owners out there who can offer their experiences with placement of this speaker in a built=in wall unit with the speaker placed only 2.5 inchesfrom the back wall? My shelf is 30 inches wide and the height of the shelf above is adjustable. Thanks.
