I've been enjoying beers from Deschutes Brewery lately, and have been quite impressed so far. My favorite right now is the Mirror Pond Pale Ale. It's a well-balanced pale ale that does not hit you over the head with hops. Very very drinkable.

Today I picked up some Red Chair Northwest Pale Ale and it's another winner. Smooth to begin with and caramely (just a bit of sweetness) and the citrus kick near the end, but not overpowering in it's delivery. Thumbs up!

They can do no wrong, as far as I'm concerned. I once had Mirror Mirror, which is a double-dose of Mirror Pond pale ale. \:\)

That sounds pretty good.

Did you try your birfday beers yet?

I had the Nøgne ø IPA. It was very good and a different take on the style. Quite bitter and complex and had an amazing aroma: mineraly, piney, a little citrus. The "luxurious" head gave it a dense mouthfeel, too. I'd buy it again.

I'm still interested in that cherry one. I remember that from your dinner thingy.

Of course, I totally forget what it tastes like. The guy at the store asked if I'd ever had it before. I told him I had, and that I liked it, but I forgot what it tasted like. \:\)

Hopefully it's worth the $18 (for 750ml).
