I've been watching the second season of Better Off Ted. It still makes me laugh. It was kind of making me angry, though. I got a season pass through iTunes, and the audio was dropping out for split seconds quite often, as well as getting way out of sync. I finally reinstalled my video drivers in an effort to troubleshoot my TV tuner difficulties with Windows Media Center, and it cured both problems. Much happier now.

Just tried to watch the Blu-ray of “Planet 51,” which might have been better named “The animated Sci Fi cliché movie.” Ok sometimes clichés can be funny, here they are not. I want to find some redeeming value in the time I wasted watching part of this but can’t. Note to self, check reviews before autiomatically dumping every SciFi or animated movie that comes out into the queue.

So I watched Ponyo last night on bluray... pretty strange. It's a trippy semi japanese animation style cartoon about a magical goldfish that wants to be a human.

Has anyone else seen this?

That can be changed to simply "Japanese."

I haven't seen it yet, but I'll watch it eventually. Miyazaki has made some good films. His Lupin III film, The Castle of Cagliostro, is still my favorite out of all of them, and Nausicaa of the Valley of the Wind is pretty cool, too. A lot of people love Princess Mononoke and Spirited Away, but I've only seen either of those movies once. I'm sure I'd like them more after a second time.

So did you enjoy Ponyo? Are you embarrassed to say you did, and that's why you're waiting for other people to share their impressions first? Ha ha.

Watching last week's Indycar race. I was surprised to see B&W as a primary sponsor for one of the teams. I guess they must be having a few good years to have that kind of dough to throw around.
