Amie emailed me Friday to send my FedEx tracking numbers...YEAH!!!!

I've got 2 M22s (eggshell), a VP150 (classic oak), and 2 QS8s (eggshell). Along with this, I got 3 FMBs to mount the M22s on the wall and the VP150 in the EC.

As soon as everything is set up, I report on how it sounds in this thread and post some pictures of the mounting in the Technical forum.

Congrats. I'm looking forward to seeing the pics of the eggshell-finish speakers.

Incredible!! Pulling out of driveway this morning, I see the FedEx truck coming down the street. I think to myself, "Don't get excited, they only shipped Friday afternoon." Watching in rear-view mirror, I see the truck stop at our house! Quickly pull a u-turn and hit the button for garage door. Still thinking it must be something else we order...then I see the Axiom logo!!

6 boxes are now sitting in my garage tempting me to fake an afternoon illness!! Being disabled (yes, can drive a van with a joystick and work on a computer, but can't open a box), I couldn't even open the boxes to look at them since the wife was already out. It's going to be a long day!

Thanks Amie and Axiom...you're amazing!

The suspense must be killing you! I take it you'll enlist the help of your wife in the arrangement and tweaking of the speakers?

You're ahead of your time with that joystick-driven car. I have a feeling every car will be driven that way some day.

Unfortunately, my wife is not very strong or good with tools (nor does she understand how new toys can deteriorate if not used immediately!!!), so I may not hear them tonight . However, we'll definitely get them unpacked and I'll get a couple of photos of the custom finishes.

That's some fricking turnaround. Half the prices of the speakers must be shipping overhead! Either that or they're owned by fedex.

Be sure and let us know what you think of them.

Perhaps for a moderately low fee, Axiom's new customer service could extend to an "emergency setup crew" that would fly all over travelling here and abroad for those in immediate need of equipment assembling in-home.

I dunno... if Axiom keeps listening to all of our suggestions, they're gonna go out of business!

I'm sorry all. I did take some pictures prior to hooking up and positioning the speakers. I'll take some of them in place and try to post them tomorrow.

Unfortunately for those of you interested in the FMBs, we decided not to use them. The M22s looked kind of obnoxious when positioned over the doors...just stuck out too much, so they are layed horizontally on top of the EC. The VP150 sat very nicely on top of the TV, so no need to drill into the EC.

Have not tweaked everything with S&V disk yet, but WOW! Unbelievable sound! Two quick examples: I've watched FOTR numerous times and, until now, never heard friction on Bilbo's hand as he drops the ring on the floor and when Frodo first draws Sting in Rivendell, the sword ringing continues from first close angle to next wide angle shot. Only heard first part before.

THX demo before Nemo is wild too!

Okay, here are the pictures...finally. If anyone wants higher resolution pix, I can email them.

Here's a close-up of the finish on the VP150 (classic oak) and one M22 (eggshell with white grille).

Here are the L/C/R in position.

This is a close-up of a QS8 in eggshell with white grilles.

And here are the QS8s mounted.

I'm in the process of calibrating using the S&V disk. I'll post my impressions tomorrow in a separate thread.

You can hardly notice the white speakers on top of the entertainment center. I had to look around for them.

Yeah, they blend into the wall nicely, especially straight on.

As for the nick nacks, they are far enough from the sub that they haven't danced yet. I'll let you know what happens when I get to try Nemo, FOTR, and TTT when she's out. Then I can crank it up!

Actually, long term goal is to get an EC that's better for HT (bigger TV), sell this one and get a nick nack curio for another room. Maybe I will crank it when she's home...then it'll be her idea!
