Saw Boston last night at Casino Rama. Great venue to watch a show and a great show it was. There are now two lead singers for the band, and the newest frontman they found sounds exactly like the late Brad Delp. I appreciate bands whose stage sound closely mimics their studio recording and Boston was exactly as I remember their recording from way back in 1976 \:o Well worth the price of admission.

Excellent!

I have a Styx/Boston concert this Saturday night, and, quite frankly, I was looking forward to Sunday's Frampton/Jethro Tull a whole lot more because I was thinking Boston would suck without Delp.

Now I'm psyched! \:\)

I've seen Styx twice in the last handful of years - decent show. I've avoided the Boston tours because I made the same assumption re Delp. I saw Tull (well, Ian and Martin) in 2004 and wasn't much impressed. Frampton's show in 2005 was great, though, despite the surprise opener of Hansen.

Mark

Hope you enjoy the show as much as I did. It's a very interesting story how they found the new singer, well worth the time to look it up, but in a nutshell, he was an accountant or something for Home Depot and his daughter sent a Karaoke tape of her dad to the band after Delp died and low and behold he's now the singer for the band. His stage presence is a bit weak (but I'm sure will improve with time)and they probably have him sing only about 60% of the time which is a shame because honestly I thought he sounded fantastic!

My wife saw Nine Inch Nails last night.
Today she can't hear anything.

Can she really not hear anything or is she just not listening to you?

Jealous though. I didn't think I liked NiN until I saw a live performance. The live music is so clean compared to the albums and the energy is like I have never experienced before or since.

Meddy - I saw the new front man for Boston telling his story on TV - wasn't that something? And the other band members actually thought it was Delp singing - he's that convincing apparently. Glad to hear it was a good show!
