Kick-Ass

Overall, I didn't really care for it. The tone of the story was getting on my nerves, heightened by the lameness of the original score. The music choices were fine otherwise. I would agree with everyone that Hit Girl was the best thing about the film. Not that the character was that deep or original, but the actress playing her was entertaining to watch. The other characters were all pretty blah. I did enjoy the audio in the gunfights, and feeling the engine in Red Mist's car was good.

I'm really looking forward to hearing Scott Pilgrim on my home system.

I started watching Foot Fist Way yesterday but could not get further in than about 30 minutes. It's rare that I'll stop watching a movie. If it get's better later, then it didn't get better fast enough.

Cemetery Junction

It was decent, but it didn't really grab me.

It was a close call, but I managed to avoid injury last night during the meet and greet session.

The event raised $90k+. Jay didn't like the number so he added an additional $10k to make it an even $100k! On top of the class act, he's a class act. This is the second time I've seen him in concert and would go again - good clean humor.

I saw him way back "when"... he was just a Boston-area comic who hadn't had any success yet... and was years away from the tonight show. He was funny.

Though I always chose Letterman at night and never really got into the Tonight Show since Carson left.

Damn. I'm old!

I finally finished Scrapped Princess. I liked it pretty well. It made me laugh.

I decided to try the Boxee software. It's pretty slick. Plenty of content, even if it's not everything I want. I'll have to keep playing with it.

This was the extent of the meet and greet - 10 seconds on stage for a picture. Still, kind of cool...

Last night I watched Paranormal Activity for the first time. I was not at all scared while watching it, but thinking about it after wards made going to bed kinda scary.
