Went to see 'Guardians of the Galaxy' at an IMAX in 3D at Silver City in Victoria. Overall it is a fun movie with some nice humour, great visuals (I ducked a couple of times) & sound.

I've decided that 3D is not for me - at least in a big theater. This is the second time in a 3D movie that I developed a major headache during the movie that rapidly dissipated after the glasses came off. I surmise that it is similar to the condition that some highly experienced pilots find after a simulator session. The visuals & what the brain is experiencing/expecting doesn't quite match up...

After The Killing and Marriage, Not Dating, I tried out The Fall. It wasn't bad, but I'm still having trouble latching on to any of the characters.

Quick Draw on Hulu is still going strong. They should make a lot more episodes.

Chelsea Peretti's stand-up special on Amazon Prime Video is pretty good.

CV, I'm enjoying The Fall. I agree with you about not latching on to the characters. But, I think that's what I like about it. The characters are fairly real...not cookie-cutter or stereotypical. The story is quite interesting too.

Trying out BoJack Horseman on Netflix. It has its moments, but it better be building to something. Ha ha. Kind of crazy how many celebrity guest voices they pack in.

Wow, that's pretty bad. I met Seagal and his lovely bride about fifteen years ago. He filmed On Sacred Ground in the town I live in. They enrolled their daughter in school, and she was in my kid's class. Steven, not so nice. His wife, even six months pregnant - huba-huba... She was an absolute sweetheart.

The new season of Hell On Wheels is turning out to be the best season for me. I'm a sucker for any type of Western. This isn't exactly a Western, but close enough.

I've also started to get into HBO's new series, The Leftovers. What a strange show.... So strange, I can't stop watching it.

Thank God True Blood is finally over.

I liked it well enough. Not a classic yet, but solid.

Now I'm re-watching The Wire. My sister re-watched it recently, and I'd been wanting to for a while. Still great, still keeping my interest from the beginning. I can understand people who have issues with the questionable content, but for the people I've recommended it to who don't have those particular hang-ups, I wonder what they don't find engaging about it. Maybe they grew up hard around Baltimore, so it's nothing new to them. One of the people I loaned it to really likes Idris Elba, so I'm surprised he didn't watch more of it. It's still the best project I've seen Idris Elba in. Someone else I loaned it to is borderline racist, but I didn't expect her major comment about the show to be that she had trouble telling all of the black characters apart. At least someone else I recommended it to finally got around to watching it and really liked it.

Saw American Hustle and Inside Llewyn Davis in the last week. Enjoyed both, but I must say that sometimes after watching a Coen brothers movie I have to head to the Internet for analysis so I can more fully appreciate what I just saw. The folk music really shined over the Axioms. Great soundstage - felt just like I was there in the smoky club.

Just tore through season 3 of Homeland. Still enjoying it. I hate how many shows I have to wait for the discs on, though.
