albeit a bit off topic, but i'll give it a whirl.
I'm looking to dump my current software that tracks my dvds, it just doesn't allow to print good reports and listings of the collection. Anyone have a line on a good one. of course, I'd prefer shareware if there is a good one, and needs to do auto-download from an IMDB type data source.

There are a few to choose from. I use:
www.dvdprofiler.com - you can click the link in my sig to see my listing.

You enter movies into your collection by UPC so it is very quick to do. The software then downloads the front and back cover scans of the DVD and the profile containing details of the disc, actors, directors, aspect ration, audio encoding, etc, etc. It is freeware, you can opt to donate $25 USD which allows you to remove the banner add and download the hi-res cover scans. Neither of those benefits is all that amazing, but I did donate the $25 USD since I have used the software so much that I did it as a thank you to the creators.

There is also:
www.guzzlefish.com
and
www.dvdaficionado.com
I have not used either of these they maybe better or worse I can't say but I do know they exist.

Hope that helps
