I got Rome not long after the BDs were released. I've never watched more than the first couple of episodes, and that was on DVD. I remember liking it, but just having too many other things to view. Now that we're in the summer lull, I should go back.

Watching Game of Thrones tonight, though.

I hear it was battles galore. Can't wait to watch it.

The Secret World of Arrietty:

Beautiful video. Very entertaining soundtrack. Simple well told story. Studio Ghibli is a little strange but I usually enjoy their movies. I liked this one.

If you are an animation lover this is a must see.

Watched "Sting - Live in Berlin"
Great orchestra, nice songs by Sting as usual and very good video as well.

Finished Rome tonight. Great stuff. I wish they'd been able to do more. The Blu-ray box set dropped briefly to $42.99, but now it's back up to $48.99, or I would have posted about it again in the Deals thread.

I also like Rome a lot. When I first watched it I just picked up the first disk from Blockbuster and then freaked out when it was over because I couldn’t wait to see the rest, of the first season (second wasn’t out yet). Luckily they had all of them so I rented and marathon watched the whole first season.

I loved the PQ of the original DVD on my old DLP so I will look up the review on Bluray.com to see if it’s worth the upgrade.

You're welcome, and I totally agree with you.

Summer Wars

Pretty good movie! Even if you think you dislike anime, you might give it a chance. It centers around a big family, and it has a nice family message, if you care about that. Fairly creative, too, even if you have to just go along with the implausibilities.
