I also like ELP's version, I guess that could also qualify as "electronic music".

Few good examples:

Rez / Cowgirl (live)
Sola Sistim
Dark and Long

It might be that individual ISPs are blocking it.

Interesting note I just did a Google search “is grooveshark blocked in Canada” and this thread was on the first page of the Google hits.

BTW not blocked here in AZ

i've found some eccentric electronic music that is worth a good listen:La Cherga - Fake No More
a critic can be read here for those interested:
http://blogcritics.org/music/article/music-review-la-cherga-fake-no/

i'm also getting some music by Kitaro, Stockhausen, Autechre, Jean Michel Jarre, Klaus Schulze, Kraftwerk, and a few others.

thanks for all the suggestions and keep them coming (as long as they're good ones, of course).

OK, you've got Klaus Schulze. That was going to be the first on my list. Here are a few others I haven't seen mentioned yet...

Orchestral Maneuvers in the Dark (OMD)

Schicke Fuhrs Froehling (start with first album)

Triumvirat (Illusions on a Double Dimple may be my favorite album of all time)

Rick Wakeman (maybe start with White Rock or Six Wives of Henry VIII)

Alan Parsons Project

ELP was mentioned but make sure you listen to Brain Salad Surgery (the album not the song)

FM was mentioned in a couple of other threads here, but look at Nash the Slash's solo work as well (maybe start with "And You Thought You Were Normal"

Crystal Machine (Tim Blake)

I feel like I'm missing some good examples, but maybe they'll come to me later.

OK, I remember what was nagging at me. In your first post you mentioned Pink Floyd and electronic music together, but I tend to think of Pink Floyd as more of a regular 4-piece band, albeit a really creative and unusual one... and so "similar" bands might be more along the lines of King Crimson, Hawkwind or maybe even Nektar.

Was there any particular Pink Floyd album that you were thinking about when you made your original post ?
