Did anyone else get the notice about the plan changes? Currently, I'm on the $9.99/month plan which includes 1 DVD out at a time and unlimited streaming. It's now split into two plans for $7.99 each. So my plan is going to change to $15.98 now. To put it eloquently...this blows! I was already wasting money by keeping DVDs for too long, but this is too much. Does anyone else have the same plan? If so, are you going to keep it? I think I might keep the streaming part, but go back to renting DVDs locally.

I have the 3 DVD plan, for some godforsaken reason, but I think I'll be dropping to the 1 DVD + streaming, which is still 'spensive.

Looks like I'm paying $11.99 + $1.04 in tax for the 1 bluray out at a time plus unlimited streaming plan. No notification that their plan rates are changing. Might drop alltogether if they do. I'm tired of them raising their rates every year.

Check your account settings. They're raising them on everything.

"The price of your Unlimited Streaming + 1 DVD out at-a-time (Unlimited) plan will change to $17.98 (including $2.00 for Blu-ray) (plus any applicable tax) a month starting with your next billing period on or after Sep 01, 2011.
You are currently in the 1 DVD out at-a-time (Unlimited) plan with unlimited time to watch instantly.
Your current period price is $11.99 (including $2.00 for Blu-ray) plus any applicable tax. "

Greedy bastards.

We have the same plan and I doubt we will keep it. Most likely will keep the streaming and that's all. I'll go to Red box for a dvd.

I'm on 3 DVDs + Blu-ray (and unlimited streaming). I'm actually thinking about dropping the streaming. I use Hulu and Vudu pretty often, but hardly touch NF's streaming anymore. I also have Amazon's Prime streaming, so that should cover my bases.

This blows. I pretty much did it so I could get Blu Rays. However, I see more Red Boxes, so I think I'll go that route w/ Amazon Prime.

This could be a bad move on Netflix's part.

Price increase had to happen now that they killed Blockbuster off.

I'm in the same boat. Don't know what we'll do, but doubtful that we'll just absorb the increase without change. We don't seem to rent many disks anymore, but I'm not sure WHAT we'd do for BD viewing since I rarely buy them. I think this creates an opening for some other business. I hope it is seized.
