These inferences to the “dumb” boyfriend who has the girl that that Charles is pining over have me confused.

I am trying my hand at a new profession as a motivational speaker. How am I doing?

I was surfing on the weekend. Kind of. I was sitting down and in a sea kayak.... but you still ride the wave with all the speed of a surf board. It's a blast but the water is still dangerously cold. I had a borrowed dry suit on but still passed on the bigger waves earlier in the day that equaled a chance of rolling. I'm happy to save those for summer.

I envy you just for being in the water. It’s been almost 4 months for me. How cold is the water there? The coldest I’ve ever been in was in Lyall Bay off Cook Strait in New Zealand. I think it was about 11C.

I almost tried the kayaking in February as the surf in Hawaii sucked. However, I opted to try one of those stand up paddle surfboards. It was better than nothing but I prefer the feeling when you make the drop.

I'm not sure exactly. My bay and the ocean freeze over in the winter months. It's been open for a long time now but we haven't had a hot spring. It's probably around the 10-11C mark.

In a couple of weeks, I expect my bay to warm up to 17 to 18C as it has somewhat restricted tidal flow. The ocean will reach that level by close to the end of June hopefully. I think it tops out there for the ocean but my Bay gets so warm it's not even refreshing after a while.

I'm not sure what my dream was about, but when I woke up this morning I felt like something was half-finished. In the past, when I was younger, I was able to continue a dream if I thought about it as I was falling asleep. In this case, having not details about what the dream was might be an obstacle...

I pretty much never remember any of my dreams, my wife says I will make running motions in my sleep or I have my arms extended up into the air and my hands look like I am putting parts together....hmmmm maybe it's time for a career change.
