I finally watched my copy of Pulp Fiction last night. I still enjoy it a lot. I was really impressed with the quality of the picture. I expected the sound to be great, and it was, but I was uncertain how the picture would fare. It looked really good most of the time. There was some softness to the image in a few scenes, but they were few and far between.

IRT: Deadliest Roads

Thought I'd try season one out. I haven't seen any Ice Road Truckers, but this variation sounded too good to miss. Only one episode in, but wow. I can understand the people who live there needing to use these roads, but for drivers from our country to leave our safety standards behind and put themselves into such harrowing conditions is pretty crazy. I get nervous driving in relatively small communities with reasonable amounts of traffic. I can't imagine being on a road with so many craaaazy drivers and then amplifying the danger by being in such physically precarious locations. So yeah, entertaining stuff, but it doesn't really make a case for their sanity.

Started watching Six Feet Under. The first episode wasn't a home run for me, but I'll keep watching and see where it goes.

Fast Five

Of this series of movies, I'd only seen The Fast and the Furious: Tokyo Drift, and I didn't particularly care for it, but after seeing a couple of reviews of this one and hearing about it from a coworker, I thought I'd give it a chance. It sounded like they were taking themselves less seriously and going completely over-the-top with it. While it was over-the-top, they still seemed to be taking themselves too seriously for my taste. None of the drama had any impact for me, and the action wasn't mesmerizing enough to distract from the lackluster story. At least Vin Diesel and the Rock almost kissed.

I also watched my copy of Captain America: The First Avenger. I still liked it, though like before, I thought the villain was really boring, dragging the movie down a bit. I still like how they presented the Captain America character, and Hayley Atwell has such a good face in it, so it was worthwhile to watch again.

If you don't get hooked on Six Feet Under during the first season, I think you're slightly broken.

We have the box set for Six Feet Under but haven't had a viewing in a while. It's sitting there, dead on the shelf.

It was a great show ... *sniff* ... so many great memories ...

Electra on Blu-ray. High volume.

I think this is the first time I've watched the blu-ray version of Electra at high volume with all the lights off.

All I can say is this is an exceptional movie. Very high quality Audio and Visuals.

Ya Ya,
We all know the Real reason you have the lights off while watching Jennifer Garner run around in a red body suit.
