I am auditioning the Paradigm Studio60 tomorrow and I wanna see how it stacks up to the Axiom M60. Does anyone here ever put these two side by side?

Too bad Axiom don't have any dealers. I'll keep post how it goes.

I've heard both, though not side-by-side. I preferred the M60's.

Where are you located. There's a good chance an Axiom owner could give you a demo in their home.

If that doesn't work, you could always do what I generally do. Buy both...listen to the side-by-side in your own room, and return the ones you don't like as well.

Good luck.

Nobody in this city have the M60's.

What's the price difference between the two?

Hi,

The suggested retail of the Paradigm Studio 60s is $1,500 per pair. The Axiom M60ti's are $800/pair delivered by 2-day FedEx. You can save 10% on the Axioms by ordering from the Factory Outlet, but you may have to wait from one to 6 weeks, depending on choice of finish.

I have pitted the Axiom M60's against Paradigm Reference 11s in an A/B test. Sound was the same from both but the Axioms are a better bang for the buck.

I just got back from Auditioning the Paradigm Studio 60 and the B&W Nautilus 803.

Paradigm Studio 60 ($1900.00 CAD)
The sound is crisp on these speakers but; I had to find the right volume for it. In the midrange it sounded nervous and hissy. I turned it up more and the voice of Sarah Mclachlan's voice starts to break. Not a good speaker if you have big room. The reviewers at audioreview is bang on towards these speakers. I'll have to pass on this one.

B&W Nautilus 803 ($5000.00 CAD)When the sales rep showed me this speaker; my thoughts were "WOW they look good and built quality is impecable". He played the same song and I was very impressed through out the process. Just put it this way; this is the best speaker that I've audition so far. But when you're talking 5g; I will have to pass on it.
(When I win the lotto maybe)

On all the reviews they say the M60ti or the M80ti will sound as good or better than the B&W. Is this true?
As right now I'm getting close to ordering the M60 just because the price is right.

No idea where you are located, but you are quoting Canadian prices. So if by chance you're in the Toronto area, there is a couple store that have Axioms. I called Amie when I was looking for someone/place in my area.

I went to a store in Oakville to audition the axioms. They usually have VP100, VP150, QS8, M50, M60 & M80 in stock. The theatre room is rather small, but you get to hear them...

I'd take the M60's anytime. They do sound better and are nearly half the price when ordering from the outlet. the save is worth the wait.

Thank you FordPrefect, good to know there's someone close by if I have any questions or issues.
I looked for some of your old posts to see what you're running and I must say I'm jealous....We will have to set up a day where I could drop by to see and hear your killer system.
