Not from what I can tell. I sent him an e-mail asking this question. In his e-mail signature he does have this:

HAA Level III Design Master Certified,
THX Certified Professional

And he does have the equipment to calibrate a TV in 3D mode, something else I was looking for. It seems most calibrators won't calibrate 3D.

Here's his home page. He's known as SierraMikeBravo on AVSFORUM.

HAA certification is for audio calibration, and THX, is, well, THX smile.

I checked out a couple of his posts, and they're discussions regarding speaker placement etc.

I find it odd that most calibrators won't calibrate 3d. Maybe it's because it's a relatively new technology?

Good luck, Cat. Hopefully he knows his stuff and you're happy.

His company provides services for building in-home theaters, which includes TV/projector calibrations. THX includes both audio and video presentations. Tbe Panasonic GT50 and VT50 are both THX certified TV's. This isn't because of the sound. From reading about the 2 (isf and THX), they sound very similar.

I did get a call early evening yesterday for a delivery of the TV today between 9 and 11 am.

They finally showed up at 11:15. 15 minutes after the 2 hour window. It's setup on the old TV stand and I've checked it for dead pixels. There weren't any. Tonight, I plan on putting the 65VT50 on one of the THX modes and watching the movie, "The Girl Who Kicked the Hornet's Nest".

But... I have no use for a boat. I don't like water, fishing, skiing, swimming, canoeing, kayaking, floating, scuba diving nor snorkeling.
