Dakkon,
Have you used that site before? I have never really bought refurbished equipment before. Looks like a 1 year warranty at least.

I have an amp in my bed room that i bought back in 2004, still works great today.. Also, I gave my Aunt and Uncle a receiver that i bought at the same time as the amp... It is the receiver that replaced their mitsubishi receiver when their mistu stopped working....
The amp i bought from them was a Marantz MM9000, the receiver was also a Marantz, however i do not remember the model number....
Again, there are several of us who have bought from that site... I have not read from anyone on the axiom forum that has had any issue anything purchased from them.

One other note about the screen. The Epson is a virtual light cannon, this will allow you to purchase a screen with a lower gain associated with it. Check out this link for some guidance. http://www.projectorcentral.com/projection-calculator-pro.cfm

Hmm, Looking at that calculator it appears I shouldn't do a 100" screen with the epson 3010. Am I reading that correctly? Looks like I should go with a bigger screen but I don't think I necessarily have the room for that. Max I could go would probably be 110".
Am I reading that calculator correctly? If so maybe I should go with the epson 8350, if i want to stay with a 100" screen?

If you can go as big as 110" on you're screen size I would suggest doing that, bigger is better right. A 110" screen at .8 gain at the sweet spot for the throw distance will give off 18 FL. I believe the recommended FL range at the screen is 13-17. You should be fine. You could mount the projector a little ahead of the sweet spot and gain more light out put to be a little safer if you like.
The minimum seating distance back from the screen would be 11 ft. so be aware of that as well, 10 ft. on a 100" screen.

5ft sitting distance from a 100" screen is nice... Trust me on that one...

I talked to a lady at projectorcentral.com today. She said the 3010 would be fine with 106" screen at that distance. So I am going to go with that.

I recently purchased the in-wall M22's and the on-wall VP100 along with the QS8's and EP175, replacing an M50, M3 system. The M22's are fantastic and the whole system is awesome. I was advised by this board to go with VP150 and EP350 and while I'm sure they would make a difference, especially the bigger sub, it wasnt in the budget. I am using a refurb Denon 1712 and this system is very loud, open and very clean and I am very happy and certainly don't feel like I'm missing anything. Also they look great, nice clean contemporary installation.

Alright so I will be installing Thursday night and Friday. I have never installed a projector and screen before. Do I install the screen first or the projector? Any other words of advice to get this right the first time?
