Big Bang Theory season 4. Maybe I'm just overdue for a good laugh, but initial impression is "hilarious".

Trying out Gotham.
If you hoped for intriguing police/detective work, you will be disappointed. However, thier spin on the how the classic 'bad guys' grew up as youths is interesting. Not sure I can adjust to a crusty, hot tempered Alfred though.

I heard some reviews of Gotham (have them recorded, but not watched yet) and what annoys me from what others are saying is that they label the "kid characters" with names that make them super obvious, like "Kat" or something like that for the girl that will eventually become Catwoman, however she didn't have anything related to catwoman in her personality until she was older. It is almost like they felt like they needed to "spoon feed" everyone because we, as a society, aren't smart enough to connect the dots.

Then again, I haven't watched it yet, so that is just what I got from others.

You really are a bitter man, aren't you.

Ya, "Cat" is a bit much. However, most of the others are not nearly as blatant. For instance, Edward Nigma works at the police precinct and his future persona is made obvious by his annoying habit to state most things as a question. Ivy Pepper instead of Pamela Isley is pretty blatant though.

You have to remember though, that those reviewers are probably all comic nerds like me but there is a huge number of people who may enjoy the show but will need to be spoon fed a bit. For instance my wife liked the show but never would have figured out that the little girl spraying the plants in the background was, if they had not later named her as "Ivy". Actually, I'm still not sure if she even caught on then.

In fact, she didn't even realize Gotham had anything to do with the Batman theme until she complained that the parents getting shot in front of the kid was, and I quote, "blatantly copying Batman". I let her run with that until the cops said "Those are the Waynes." and she said "Wait a minute, you tricked me into watching a comic show!!!"

Yeah, I don't even want to give Gotham a fair shot. The trailer for it just looked way too dumb. I'm old.

Well, I fired up Edge of Tomorrow tonight. Glad I turned it down at the start because the bass/LFE at 24 seconds into the movie was ridiculous. While it sounds/feels cool, it is WAY too hot for even calibrated systems. Crazy.

Why would they mix the LFE that clearly has the possibility of damaging consumer equipment.

It seems that it is going to happen if a person plays this movie at anywhere near Reference Levels. Ridiculous!!

Thankfully some of us have been warned...

I was the same, I didn't pick it up until now because I thought it looked too campy but then I gave into pressure at work to try it. It definitely won't be for everybody, but it was yards better than I expected.

I think I mostly want to watch Cobblepot grow up and gain power because the actor has made him pretty intriguing. Donal Logue has really nailed Harvey bullock as well.
