Hi Golfboy,
That is very cool that you are still using them. We have a pair or two from that era in our museum collection. Unfortunately I can’t answer your crossover question though. I am pretty sure the crossover change would have been done to make an improvement to the family of curves. The relationship between the family of curves and the listen test results is really the name of the game in moving the performance quality forward in speaker design.

Hi All,
Thanks for the response Ian.
Porter - Had a set of M80s and loved them, but they were overkill for my apartment.
Tom - They don't need repair, I was curious about the differences between the earlier and later sets and was considering upgrading the caps and coils due to their age and to match them up.
