For those who have served, in any capacity, thank you for your service.

For those families who sacrificed while a loved one served, thank you as well.

Well sort of. I didn't have the day off, and yesterday was a long day. I did celebrate the day before with my father, though, who says without November 10, there probably wouldn't be a Veterans Day.

There is a veteran's hospital ( saint anne de Bellevue,qc ) where most of them are at the end of their life, average age is 91 years old.. most have no more family and are alone, 355 patients, I paid my respects by sending a card to them, if it were permitted I would spend that day with a least 1 or 2 of them. would be nice if they could see your posts on this board.
