Every speaker produces its own signature sound, and I guess it's up to us the consumer to decide what we like at what price point we are willing to pay.

We hope that our choice is as close to the original sound recorded.

Perhaps it's me, but I like to think that I got a deal with my choice of speakers, and ended up with a speaker that produces a pleasing sound to me at a much lower price point than a comparable sounding speaker from someone else.

I listened to Paradigm studio 60 and 100, and found the 60's were lacking in fullness compared to the 100's. But from my memory, the Paradigm Studio 100 speakers were not quite as dynamic as the Axiom M80 speakers I had, so I would give the nod to Axiom

I have not heard the Axiom M100 speakers, so I can't compare them to anything else.

I have not a clue what to compare the LFR1100 to, nor the money and time to find out.

Axiom: ADA1500, LFR1100 Actiive, QS8, EP500, M3, M3comp, M5

Several years ago I shopped locally for speakers that included many decent mainstream brands within an affordable price range. The goal was to replace my pristine, vintage Axiom AX2s from the early 1990s. To me, all brands & models performed 'similarly good' so I thought that I'd try Axioms again.

I ordered a set for my HT, found that liked them enough to keep them. Since then, I populated my house with 2 more Axiom systems over the past 3 years.

Unfortunately, my audio memory is so short & flawed that unless speakers are compared properly side by side in the same setting, I (and probably most others) would be unable to give a meaningful assessment of comparative performance.

I'm happy & fully satisfied with what I have so I really don't care how other brands sound now....

yea.. I got the boxes yesterday. Have not pulled them out yet as I have to decide if I store them until my room is ready as motivation to get it done, or give myself a reward each night after slogging away doing reno work by listening to these speakers in a not so perfect room.

"Comparing" is hard, scientific work. I'm not that interested.

Love my Axioms. In MY ROOM, with my equipment and my ears, they sound pleasing. I perceive that they are somewhat more pleasing than other speakers I have heard with my ears, in my room, with my equipment.
