I grabbed two m3's and a svs sub. Still can't touch my old Cerwin Vega D9's which is what we are trying to replace. The D9's are legendary. Even the woman who loved the look of her new wood matched speakers said...its not even close.

That being said, the M3's really surprised me with how much bass they can put out for a "bookshelf". I really do like them.

If another set pop up in b stock or refurb in maple I may try four

I had to Bingle to see what the D9s were like. Yikes. Are they really that big?

M3's sure wont have the output or extension of those Cerwin Vegas, but hey have a sweet sweet charm about them. Midrange is killer.

I think you will really grow fond of them.

I'm already fond of them. But 4 of them was always the plan. I can say this, I have never gotten a Axiom product and not been impressed. My "refurb" m3's (V3) are in better shape then the brand new SVS sub I just paid for. Cheap Vinyl on the SVS.

I never expected these to be as good as the Vega's. While I would never buy Vega's these days, the old ones like the D9 were epic. And yes, they are 36"x19x19 and about 80lbs each/350watts. Even my M80's plus a sub doesn't compete.
