i just heard on talk radio that women are starting to walk around topless in ontario?? could this be true?? apparently, last fall, a women was given a citation for having her shirt off in public. she went to court, and a ruling was made that it is unfair to descriminate against women, and not allow them to go shirtless, like a man can. so, now, there seems to be a large number of women who are taking advantage of the new rule, and going topless on a regular basis. the story i heard said that several older women went topless at a seniors dance held in a government building. also, that women are doing topless car washes, and standing topless outside of strip clubs, to give a preview of whats inside.

now, the 'conservative' in me wants to say this is wrong, but the 'horn-dog' in me says, "MORE BOOBS".

this is just another reason why i feel compelled to visit canada

It sounds like a publicity stunt to me. Maybe it's time for me to visit the great land up north soon, eh?

Now that news clearly travelled by stagecoach! We've been happily shirt-free here since 1997 - I can't believe nobody knew that! You're right, BigJohn, it all started on a hot day in Guelph, Ontario. Can't remember whether it's still legal or not (hey, it's just not that hot in Canada!) but I can confirm it is a true story that greatly increased revenues for Squeegie Girls (people who dash out to your car at red lights and clean madly) for at least one summer.

Currently it's a balmy 37*F here . . .

Well bigjohn, i would bet you a couple of loonies that upon arriving in Ontario your count of breasts would include about two thousand plus hairy man chests and about zero women's public breasts.
Although the law was challenged and debated, women in general have not changed their lifestyles overnight. Europe we are not.
But hey, its your vacation. I'm assuming you've driven via sled dog before?

thanks for the 'updated' information.. i was just about to cancel my reservations..

we got some snow this year, for about 20 minutes..

the old saying around here is, "if you dont like the weather in west texas, wait 5 minutes, it will change"..

you guys will get to laugh at me when in july/august its 110 degrees, w/100% humidity..

but that makes going to the lake that much more fun!!!

The same general thing happened here in the late 90s, there was to be a huge protest march - when it hit the news, the total number of women involved was 2, an elderly woman and a middle-aged feminist.

I'm sure more would like the freedom to go shirtless on hot summer days, but before that, we'd have to medicate all the drooling letches.

Now John, you'll only feel a pinch.
