OK...it's semi-official, you all have to go see it now, I'll be in the credits.

what's the release date? My little brother will be in town in early July and he'd love to see it in IMAX.

I already bought tickets for the Imax version at Pacific Science Center in Seattle during the first week of June.

We would have stayed to watch the credits anyway, but we'll pay attention now. In what way are you credited? "Film Jockey"? "Chief undersecretary to the best boy's key grip hairstylist?"

Awesome, Craig. We are looking forward to it. I'll gush more when the time comes.

It opens June 4th. Check www.imax.com to see if it'll be in IMAX near you.

All of the IMAX team are on one card at the VERY end of the credits. You'll likely think you missed it, as it's after EVERYTHING else. (I know how Rodney Dangerfield feels now) I'll be at the center/bottom of the card.

(Assuming WB doesn't pull our card all together)

Hey Spiff, is there less edge enhancement now?

When I saw Matrix Reloaded in IMAX, there was tons of digital edge enhancement in the picture, no doubt caused by the up in resolution.

Otherwise, the experience was incredible and I may be able to see Harry Potter at the IMAX in Irvine before I go to London! I will definitely see it in San Luis Obispo beforehand, though.

So, you're all seeing it in IMAX, right?

btw...I think our IMAX team's credits were nixed at the last minute by WB.

Craig, thanks for the bump.

I saw "The Prisoner of Azkaban" at the Pacific Science Center IMAX yesterday afternoon with my wife, 9 year old daughter and 7 year old son.

Holy (*&%$!!! What a great ride! The picture quality was astounding, and the sheer size of the image and soundstage were impactful and immersive. It was truly the ultimate motion picture experience. Great and memorable.

IMAX should do more first-run features like this. I would happily drive farther and pay a premium to see selected movies in this format.

Sadly, we stayed until the end of the credits to find that Craig's fears were realized; no IMAX credit card at the end.

btw, the audience at the showing I saw had VERY few children since it was the afternoon of a school day (my kids had the day off). Still packed to the rafters.

NO, Spiff, not Catwoman! I was hoping for something worthwhile, not what is likely going to be the biggest turd of the summer. Damn you warner brothers!

At least Warners is supporting the format, though. But can't IMAX use your resources to do Spiderman 2 or something?

You guys going to do Oceans 12 for Warners?

I don't know who decides what we're going to convert and what we aren't. Though I'm sure Catwoman wasn't at the top of our list. LOL...

There'll be others.

It seems to mainly be Warner Brothers films, except Apollo 13. Warners also actively supports making DLP versions of their movies available to theaters.
