I am going to order M40tis, QS4s, and a VP150 (with a HSU VTF-2 sub). Can anyone tell me if I'll be okay with a Yamaha RX-V740 receiver? I hear this is an improvement over their 730 models, but don't know if it will "meld" with the Axioms, since I'm not much of a audiophile (yet!). It will be used for home theater 90% of the time.

At first I was leaning towards Onkyo, but they run hot, and this will be housed in an enclosed cabinet.

I'm getting this new Yamaha off eBay for $359, but I still have time to cancel my bid if I should look another direction.

Any input is appreciated.

Jeff, there's really no need to be concerned about a receiver "melding" or matching with those speakers. All good receivers work well with nearly all good speakers. A 740 would be one of several fine choices in that price area. Pick the features you want at the best price that you can find.
