I have heard the same suggestions, especially for that specific CD player and other similar players by Cambridge. I auditioned their DVD300, it is a great player, especially for CD audio, however, they were using the stock power cord and didn't have another high priced one to compare with. I would like the hear the difference for myself in a blind test.

Guess the blind test is the only way to know for sure Ravi. Would like to get my hands on a good power cord and give it a whirl. Will let you know the outcome if/when I get a chance to try it.

I have medical grade power cords here and if I asked maybe I could take one home for a day.
However, neither my amp nor my player have a replaceable cord.
