Dave, maybe we should all just go along with Socrates on this one, but anyway these are all excellent receivers. The automatic calibration and equalization on the Denon and Yamaha is more advanced on paper, but in practice it's unclear yet. Since I said paper, here's the one from Analog Devices describing their processor which the Denon 3805/2805 uses(Yamaha uses their own similar processor).

On the video bandwidth point, the new Pioneer 54TX and 56TX are using 100MHz, up from 40MHz on the 53TX and 55TX. I doubt that any human being has eyes that will see a difference between 40, 60, or 100, if other factors are the same.

If you can find some feature that you like better, get it; if one looks nicer to you, get it; or most important, if you can get a better price on one, get it. You can't go wrong with any of these.

John, that 2805/3805 Denon MCACC looks quite the same as MCACC on Pioneer 45TX, and I'd back you up on "40-60-100" MHz - opinion - just a sale pitch for no good reason.

Gee thanks

not only did you make me eat my own quote (Soc's words) LOL

you basically supported my exact premise about the recievers.

AHHHHH

I agree

you know...if I had 3 times the budget...I could simply get All 3 ...and then...

hhahaaa
