Ecost has the Denon 2200 SACD/DVD-A player in stock right now for $285 USD. Just thought this might be a good deal for someone looking for a nice component.

Funny you should mention that, because the ones here in my wallet are getting damn near maxed out thanks to Denon and Axiom (and HSU or Dayton pretty soon now, I imagine).

When they call this stuff "budget" equipment, turns out they're not referring to a college student budget.

It's mostly a mutual love, but lately I can't help but feel that we've been moving apart. Things just aren't the same as they used to be. They've become so needy and expensive. Sometimes, I feel like they're just taking advantage of me.

But the sex is great.

"Credit card companies love college students. "

Thats why I don't yet have one. I figure, if I have a credit card I'll spend money I don't have, which is a BAD thing. I'm the only one of my friends poor or well-off that doesn't have one yet. I imagine I will be getting one soon, I'm 20 and have absolutely no credit.

Credit is easy to get. You have (and pay) bills, right? The whole "establish your credit now" line is just bait. Unfortunately, as a college freshman I took and they set the hook hard. My CC debt was never astronomical, but it still took until last year to get rid of it. (I graduated in '99.)

Then again, I bought some cool stuff.

On the contrary, if it makes my music sound this good, spending money I don't have can only be a good thing.

I figure I'll have enough money after (if?) I graduate in a couple years to pay for all of this. Public school teachers get paid well, right?

Not at first they don't. But I admire you for choosing that path. Just don't ask BigWill if it's a good idea or not.

Actually, I don't have any bills. As long as I stay in school, my parents cover my car and phone bill. I pay for my food and luxuries (Axioms, CD's, dates, beer). My scholarship(s) pay for my tuition, books, and living expenses. Right now I got it made, as long as my grades stay good or err, decent I will be floating through college.

If you value time off teaching is great. If you value money, your sanity or your health - get a real job. But seriously, pmbuko, I didn't discourage you from a teaching career did I?

Good luck, Josh. When it is time for the first day of class - relax.

No. I still feel called, in a way. But they'll always need teachers so I'm not in a rush.
