The pic is a little dark on my monitor, but in case you can't tell it is a 10" Energy sub on top of my EP350. Side by side the Axiom is far prettier with its aluminum driver, nicer looking ports, nicer looking vinyl, and taller more elegant shape.
Haven't had the time to calibrate with family in town, but preliminary listening tests seem to indicate it is overkill.

Who knew the Axiom forum came with it's own link robot?

Excellent catch, Ken. It's about time he got caught at his own game.

I've got an EP350, and an 8" JBL sub... the 8" is just right... not to much, and adds midbass to the room..

Thanks for the help, Jack. I still haven't been able to do any measurements, but I think I will keep things configured like this for the time being (the sub is on loan from a recently-divorced, apartment-dwelling friend).

Obviously, the volume has been increased, so I adjusted the sub level down a few clicks.

Watching "Ice Age" this morning with a room full of kiddies, I noticed that the added Energy sub did nothing to muddy the center channel with its 80hz crossover. In fact, the presence of the smaller sub seems to have integrated the EP350 and VP150 in a very nice way. If anything, dialogue has improved - not at all what I expected.

The Energy is a curious sub - it seems to be all or nothing. Crank the knob and no increase in output or driver excursion until you get to a certain point and bam! it starts rocking. Turn it back down and it goes silent again. The EP350 is not at all like that. Gradual increases on the volume knob equate to gradual increases in output.

I think it's going to take some time to sort out, but it definitely sounds like it will be an improvement.
