i would like to wall mount 3 m22ti's at seven feet high. one will be a verticle center. they will be 3 1/2 feet above my tv. i will be able to angle them down to the listener with the wall mounts. will this cause any problems?

As long as your using decent brackets that are attached to a stud, you should be fine and dandy.

Hi rtku,

Be careful how far away you mount the center-channel M22ti from the video display, otherwise you may get a discontinuity of the dialog from the picture. Try and keep the center channe no more than 18 inches to 2 feet from the TV screen.

The fact that you can angle it down may help, and the effect may be different in any application, but if the dialog seems disembodied from the actors on the TV display, then consider getting the center closer to the screen, or running a second center in parallel below the screen (or two at each side) so the dialog images at the screen.

Hello Alan,

Hope you are well. Glad you brought this up. You can also change the delay to the center speaker on most receivers to compensate for sync problems, instead of moving the speaker. This can be done on the H/K receivers, not sure how other receivers handle it.

Later,

TonyM

TonyM,

Changing the delay will be fine for centers that are set farther back behind the TV display but it won't help if the actual source of center channel dialog is up high above the display. You want the dialog anchored at the screen, not 3 feet above it.

I've posted a request for recommendations on brackets/mounts for the M22s. What are you using? Do you have any pictures?

Thanks!
Rich

I'm wondering the same. I just ordered a pair of m22ti's and while the FMB bracket axiom is selling looks good, it does seem a little pricey. As for other options - has anyone tried the Vogel BEK100 bracket from Parts Express? It's rated to hold 55lbs and the price per pair seems reasonable.
