Neverhappy,

I think you should get yourself a VTF-3 and see if you would indeed like it.If not you could always sell it to me,at a deep discount of course .

Do ya think it would work? The real problem would be is you would like the Vtf-3 so much you would want me to buy the SVS.That would work too .

Woooooooooooooooo there. I'm not so sure the HSU would make me want to give up my SVS but it would be fun playing around with both!

I always love to read a post like that one NeverHappy. Makes me feel warm and fuzzy inside about my purchase..

I agree, it may not match up against HSU or SVS's "elite" stuff but those elite items are a little higher in price range as well.

Yes they are. Like I said before that Outlaw sub and Outlaw stuff in general is darn nice stuff! For most people it will work just fine. My only compaint with that sub is it doesn't keep control down low as well as the SVS and better HSU's do. The SVS is a little better with music. Is it 3 times the price better? that depends I guess on what you consider to much money etc. For me $1000.00 on a sub isn't a lot of money. If I had more money to spend on a sub, I would have spent it in a heartbeat. To me a good sub is crucial.
I'm just one of those dumb people that wants to have stuff that is as close to the best as possible! If I was running the LFM I would have 2. Why? No reason. That's just the way I am! lol

I'm not a sub expert (heck I aint an anything expert), but I sure like my Outlaw. I have the X-over set at the minimum (40) and the volume in the middle and it blends in nicely with the M80's. I do not listen to movies, just music. The room it's in is 32X26 with cathedral ceilings. I can here the sub everywhere. If I crank it up, it sounds like one of them little rice burners with the fart cans that thump by. I wouldn't discount it.

My music tastes are rock, hard rock, more rock, some country and even a little bit of that mello Irish stuff. No rap or dance.

That's interesting. NeverHappy...you have an Ultra...right? Your control comment is partly how I felt about my VTF-3 when I compared it to 20-39PC+, and to a lesser degree, the PB1+. The VTF-3 seemed to have better control and articulation throughout. In fact, I thought the STF-2 had better control as well...just not the output or the ability to play lower hz.
