Well ive been looking at the m80s and they are quite impressive. I do have a few questions though. First off, what is a good amp to drive these bad boys? I don't know much about 4 ohm systems but have read some and the c370 seems to be a decent integrated I can get for cheap if its used which would be great, but any other recommendations or comments would be great. Second, how do these handle at low levels? I am not going to be putting these in a huge room and intend to listen to them alot at lower levels while I study, but also intend to really rock them also. Would I be better off with the m60s or will the m80s be okay at low levels, I have heard not enough power can hurt speakers too but dont know too much yet about all of it. Thanks for any help.

If you're not after super-high SPL in a veyr large room, I'd go with the M80s. I have the M60s and I find that they can handle a lot more than my ears can, and they also do very well at low levels!

I agree.
The M80's are VERY sensitive.
I have the M80's and love them. Outlaw makes a 200 watt mono block at $300. a piece. The amps are very quite and have a very modest rating.

What size room are we talking about here?

As far as the 80s go they do just fine at low levels and great at higher ones.I run mine with a Rotel RB1080 which to me is a great match.

To find which would better fit your needs give Axiom a call and what they have to say. They are great people there and will give ya good advice.

At low levels the 80's sound pretty good, but when you crank up the volume a bit is when they really shine.

When you hear about not enough power hurting speakers they are talking about when you turn the volume up to the point where the amplifier doesnt have enough power to drive the speakers. If you bought something like the C370 i really dont think you would have that problem. I have found that it has more than enough power.
