It's sort of like a little indicator for mainstream rock... Does it have cowbells? If yes, then it ROCKS! If no, then it doesn't.

LOL thanks Saturn....actually my brother in law has, I believe either 600 or 700 series. I really like the 60's and 80's over those models, especially when GREEN$$$ is involved.

I just through in the Skywalker ranch bit as a joke, it is my understanding that they are not even considered THX certified speakers, shows you how much that designation really means....most people don't know about the B&W's at Skywalker, I'm sure Yoda does...

I seem to recall reading in the Enquirer that when Darth Vader walked into the studio, he said, "There is a non THX compliant presence in this ranch. I can feeeeel it. General! Send out a search party to locate that presence and bring it to me so that I might destroy it myself!"

Just a rumor, though... Are you sure the B&Ws are still there?

Before I bought my Ax's, I went to a local high end AV dealer who deals in stuff that cost more than my Silverado...anyway, I was looking at the 700 series B&W's and as I left I grabbed some pamphlets. There was an article in one of them showing the Skywalker Ranch recording room with the 800 series B&W's in it...

And i would trade my 80's any day. Heck id trade my whole system for a pair of them. And even throw in a few grand for good measure. Beleve me. I love my 80's but they dont even compare to those signature 800's Of course, theyre about $18,800 less per pair too

But i have said it before, if i ever have the kind of money to afford those i WILL buy a pair.

going to order some Axioms...custom colour...not the full leap only to the Charcoal Smoke.
