I currently have M22's front, vp100, QS8's, and hsu stf-2 sub. Curious which bookshelfs would be better for the two rear to complete my system. I also like to listen to stereo with all channels. I may be able to pick up a pair of used M3Ti's, how would these be? I only have about a foot and a half from my couch to the back wall and the speakers need to be on stands. Is this too close to the listening position or would it be ok? Thanks alot.

Tone-wise I imagine M2 or M22 would be a better match for the M22s you have. If you are going to be listening to "5 channel stereo" (ie fronts and backs get the same signal" then M22s would probably be best if you want to be able to crank up the volume... but I think most people here would recommend something like PLII or Neo6 rather than 5 channel stereo.

If you're not doing loud 5 channel stereo (which is really just having a second set of mains) then M2s should be fine.

I don't know enough to comment on the distance but it doesn't seem like very much. I have seen suggestions that you do 6.1 with a single QS8 on the back wall in these situations but not sure that is the right answer for you.

If you're anything like me, it'd be fun to have them in the mix, just for experiment and playing's sake.

I'd say "do it", if you were like me

The worst that happens is you get to test out a lot of scenarios and if it doesn't work out, you sell them. But that experience is always priceless
