Hello, I am new to this post. I currently own a pair of M22TI's, QS4's, and a B&W CC3 as a center channel. I want to buy an Axion center channel, and I am undecided between the VP100 and the VP150. I have a midsize room and I mainly play DVD's, so the Center Channel is important to me. I am wondering if there will be to much difference between the M22Ti's and the VP100. I will spend the extra money on the VP150's if it will make that much of a difference, if not I prefer to buy the VP100 and buy M2I's for the surround back position. I would appreciate any feedback on this matter. Thank you very much.
Alex

Alex, a single vertical M2 is an almost perfect match for the M22s and will save you some money as well.

Hi,

I'll pitch in here as well. A single M22ti on its side works remarkably well as a center and, in my judgment, makes a better tonal match to the M22ti's than a VP100.

Thank you guys for your replies, I had thought of that, but I read on the Message Board that the M22ti on it's side does not sound that good, I am not sure what the reason for that is. So you guys think that a single M22Ti will work fine? I do not want to put it vertically, because I would like put it on top of the TV. Thank you again for your advice, it does help me very much. Thanks.
Alex.

Alan,

you are making me doubt my purchase of a VP150!!

In your opinion, what is a better speaker for a center? M22Ti or a VP150? I use it strictly for movies.

I could see another M22 working a bit better, actually. The VP150 uses three 5.25" speakers. The M22 uses a 5.5" which might lead to a bit of mismatch between the two speakers. Though I've never heard the two paired together so I don't know how big a difference it makes.

Joshua, the 5.5" on the M22 is a typo which remains uncorrected. The same 5.25" as the M2, M60, VP150 etc. is used. So, that isn't part of the problem, but my opinion remains that God didn't intend that center speakers should be horizontally aligned.

I never knew that. They should definitely change that as I was considering two M2's for the two rear surrounds in my system but I think I'd prefer the M22's if they have the same mid as my center. Good to know. Bad on Axiom's part.

And I agree completely about the orientation.
