I don't know how many times in the past two years I thought I was weeks away from a purchase....but something would always come up (car repair, new home purchase, etc.)

Finally, I ordered the M60's, VP150, and QS8's in Boston Cherry Monday evening. I should get them this Friday.

I still plan to take these up to the local dealer and AB them with Wharfedale Evo's and Studio 60's. I think the owner is as curious as I am to see how they stack up.

I have Friday off from work so hopefully they arrive early in the day so I can get things setup before New Years plans start kicking off.

Great Mike! I'll be eager to hear your thoughts on how the 60s compare to the Evos and Studio 60s. It's great that you have a nearby dealer who'll let you do the comparison.

Mike you must be my long lost realtive i have been experiencing the same prob for over a year. and will be placing my order in the next few weeks. i also am very excited about your upcoming thoughts on the wharfdale v. axiom ab tests . as i was going to get the pacific evo's as well. also what are you going to use as a sub?

Yes, the Evo's are very good...IMO the best value for the money out of everything I auditioned (PSB, Paradigm, B&W, Energy, Kef, & the list goes on). I don't have a sub yet. Will purchase an SVS as soon as possible...PB10 or 20-39PC are the two I am considering.

The owner of the place I go to (SoundFX in Kansas City) is super-helpful, knowledgeable, etc. Best of all, he will let you bring in your gear and AB it with anything he sells. I tried all the audio/video places in the KC and surrounding area and nobody came close to the level of service, help, knowledge, etc. as SoundFX. If you are in the KC area, I highly recommend you stop by the place. Robert (owner) is usually there unless he's doing a custom install.

Awesome, same set-up as me, so it's gotta be great LOL. Don't nick em in transport, not because you are gonna ship em back, but cause you will want them as pretty as can be. Let us all know your sound comparison opinions. Thats great you have that "same" enviroment A/B. Please look at the 20-39 SVS (their 3 subs) the PCI, PC+, and ultra, same cabinet-dimensions, and it aint small. Speak direct with SVS, there are some considerable differences in the 20-39 line of products. Good luck, let us all know.

I love the Boston Cherry color. I got my factory M60Ti, VP150, QS8 set just 2 weeks ago, and they are almost flawless (remember that they ARE factory outlet). The "flaws" are so small that I couldn't see them untill I ran my finger along some of the edges and I have to feel the small nicks in them, but for the couple hundred bucks I save, who cares. Can't see them normally anyway...

So back to the cherry. Looks VERY nice. You should be happy with the way the setup looks and sounds...

congrats on your 'new arrivals'. you are gonna love 'em.

and please be sure and post your opinions and observations once you do an A/B test at the stereo store.. we are VERY interested.!!
